February Mid-Term Camp

OUR February Mid-Term camp was a great success and many thanks to Sasa and Calvin for all their work over the week. The main point of the camp was skill development and what better way to practice your skills than in a camp with such talented coaches advising and helping you. We are hoping these camps are going to be a regular feature of Templeogue Basketball Club.

Templeogue U20 Dublin Cup Champions

In another great game between Eanna and Templeogue, our U20 Men over came their rivals to lift the Dublin Men's U20 Cup winning by a margin of 20 pts. with some great baskets, especially Baoloch Morrison's fantastic 3 pointer from the half way line at the end of the 2nd quarter

A Big Thank You...... From the Boys

We were delighted to have the opportunity to participate in Templeogue’s fifth National Cup Final last weekend. (1985, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2012)
Lifting the cup in front of so many TBC supporters and following in the footstep’s of the 2007 and 2011 teams was a huge honour for us all.
We are also excited to be the first TBC team to retain the Cup. The theme of “Repeat” was locked in to our game plan from the qualifying rounds in Bray last September. It continued to be a motivating call for us right up until the last seconds of our game against Maree.
We would like to thank Sasa, Calvin and Ahmad for their help which ensured that our preparation’s were to a very high standard.
A HUGE thanks to all our great supporters which made our Cup success so memorable.
Luke, Nathan, Tomasz, Baolach, Danny, Cian O’D, Aidan, Adam, Cian McK, Eoin, Brian, Colm and Sean

Sports Club of the Year 2011

ON December 8th at the Echo Amateur Sports Awards in association with the South Dublin County Sports Partnership, Templeogue Basketball Club was picked from a wide variety of clubs throughout South Dublin as 2011 Sports Club of the Year. This is a great honour for our club and a great tribute to everyone in the club, all coaches, team managers, parents and players who are Templeogue Basketball Club, it was amazing to hear all our clubs achievements throughout the 2010-2011 basketball season read out from the podium. Also our Under 18 National Cup team 2011 were presented with the January Echo Team of the Month trophy, accepted by Stephen Fagan. Pictured above from left to right your committee: Liz Milroy, Mick Thompson, Phil Whitmore and Eamonn Fagan, unfortunately Sue Lakes could not attend on the night. Students trip to Calcutta to help charities

Kevin Hughes from our U17 Boys team is travelling to Calcutta with his school (Colaiste Eanna) this February to work with three different charities that help street children and lepers in some of the poorest areas of Calcutta.

Pictured on the left: Aoife and Kevin Hughes, and Sarah Gilroy enjoying freezing temperatures after their sponsored Dive/swim in the Forty Foot recently. All monies raised will be used to help these three charities in Calcutta.

Azzurri website error

We would like to advise all TBC members that the price of the warm-up tops on the Azzurri website is incorrect. The correct price should be €26 and not €40. Anyone ordering should ring Azzurri and ensure that they pay the correct price. We have a link to the site under the Links tab on the top main menu. We have asked Azzurri to correct this error.
